FAQ

Treatment options and the number of sessions needed will vary from person to person, so this will depend on your condition.

Recovery time may be reduced if you can make small tweaks to your day to day life, based on our personalised Homecare advice.

Please wear clothing that feels comfortable to stretch in, with suitable underwear (for women, this includes a non-sports bra).

Shorts are generally fine, providing they stretch or are loose.  Please note that we will also use towels during your treatment.

The answer will depend on your goals. Some athletes have monthly maintenance sessions when they are training less, increasing the frequency as their training volume and intensity builds.

The solution is always about finding what is right for you to reduce muscle tension and keep you injury-free. This is something we’ll discuss during your first assessment.

Soft Tissue Therapy and Sports Massage are suitable for everyone, not just athletes and fitness fanatics!

You don’t need to be an athlete to reap the benefits as a Maintenance massage can help with everyday aches, pains, and postural imbalances caused from sitting at a desk all day (or even from gardening at the weekend).

Truthfully? The pressure of a sports massage can get quite deep, which may cause some discomfort. However, it should never be too painful, and we will guide you through the treatment so you will know any discomfort you feel is the ‘right’ kind (i.e. the kind that’s going to help you feel better!)

Your honest feedback will also be important, so we can work together to get the best result for you, as comfortably as possible.
